Introduction: We have been marching towards Revival season and now we have arrived. I pray that you have been along with me seeking God and revival has already began in you. Today we will be looking at the first 2 chapters of Acts as we approach Revival, I have been led to look at the beginning of the greatest Revival known among men as from humble beginnings the Church of God was born and spread like a wild fire.

Background: Jesus has ascended and given instruction for his disciples to remain in Jerusalem and wait. Now, it is the time of Pentecost. A festival where Jews all gather to celebrate seven weeks after the Passover. It is a celebration of harvest. People come from all over to celebrate. Also known as the Festival of Feasts. This is the reason you see this hodge-podge assembly of many tongues and nationalities. There is also a view here of the Gospel effect on every tribe and nation. A beautiful time for the Gospel of Christ to flow out and spread throughout the known world. Revival.

As the church rebuilds, not from destruction, because we know the gates of Hell themselves cannot prevail against the Bride of Christ. There have been trials and challenges abounding against Her. I believe that now is the time for revival, now is the time to to call the church out of her slumber as Paul called to the church of Ephesus 5:14, "Awake, O sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine upon you."

Romans 13:11 "Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now that when we first believed." Church, we are drawing nearer. If there is anyone who should not be afraid and is eagerly rising each day with great expectation it is us, those purchased by the blood of Christ. As sure as the Father promises that He will keep His Son, He promises that he will keep those who by faith come through Jesus.

Dead men dont walk. Have you been made alive in Christ? Then cast off that bod and mind of death and come alive, come alive, come alive! Scripture says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; Behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Behold, today is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)
